These terms are the handshake between you and Mentbot. They are written to be readable, not theatrical. Using the app means you accept this trail map. If you do not agree, the honest move is to stop using the product.
What Mentbot is (and is not)
Mentbot is a consumer mentoring companion: daily check-ins, one practical step, reflections, and weekly chapters shaped from the days you lived. It is software for motivation and structure. It is not medical care, psychotherapy, legal counsel, financial advice, or an emergency service. If you need professional help, contact a qualified human — Mentbot will not stand in that role.
Your side of the path
You are responsible for the goals you set and the messages you send. Write content you are comfortable placing into a mentoring conversation. Do not use Mentbot to harass anyone, break the law, attempt to disrupt the service, or reverse-engineer the product beyond what applicable law already allows. There is no peer-to-peer personal-data exchange between users inside Mentbot; treat other people’s shared chapters, if you ever see them, with ordinary respect.
AI-generated text
Mentoring replies and chapter narratives are produced with assistance from OpenAI, a third-party service. The app sends the text you enter (and the session context needed to respond) so the model can generate language. It does not ship your personal contact records as part of that generation step. AI output can be imperfect, incomplete, or oddly phrased. You remain the decision-maker: accept a step, skip it, or reinterpret it. Mentbot does not guarantee that every suggestion will fit your life on every day.
Third-party services woven into the product
Mentbot depends on outside infrastructure. By using the app you acknowledge that these third-party services may process technical or operational data under their own terms:
- Firebase — application backend and related cloud features.
- Singular — attribution and measurement.
- OneSignal — push notification delivery.
- OpenAI — generation of mentoring and chapter text from the conversation content you provide.
Mentbot’s developer does not run a side business of collecting personal dossiers, and users do not pass personal data to one another through the mentoring product. Where tracking exists, it is typically limited to what those services need — often a unique technical ID for analytics or pushes — not a hunting expedition for private life details.
Accounts, access, and availability
Features may change as the product evolves. Temporary outages happen. Mentbot may update, pause, or retire parts of the experience. If Google Play rules, device permissions, or third-party outages affect Mentbot, those constraints are outside a single developer’s full control.
Intellectual property
The Mentbot name, interface, and original materials belong to the developer unless stated otherwise. You keep ownership of the words you type. You grant Mentbot a limited license to process that text so the mentoring features can function — including sending session text to OpenAI for generation, as described above.
Disclaimer and limitation
Mentbot is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, the developer disclaims warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly suited to every goal. Mentoring is a tool for reflection and habit support; outcomes in the real world still belong to you. Liability, where it cannot be excluded, is limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.
Changes
These terms may be revised. The date at the top is the signal that something moved. Continued use after an update means the new terms guide the relationship going forward.
